Defined agglomerate markings - Multi-Dot Line system
The use of agglomerate markings is becoming more and more widespread, particularly due to the excellent night visibility in wet conditions. The main types being used are stochastic agglomerate patterns made from 2-component cold plastic or special thermoplastic material, which are applied with spiked rollers or similar.
The resulting marking patterns have the following features:
- Reduced scope for misunderstanding between customer and marker:
Good writability of the marking pattern (also using drawings or photographs, for example) improves verifiability during acceptance by the customer.
- Water drainage is ensured:
Accurately defined distances between the individual marking dots enable water to drain even easier. Any dirt is thus rinsed from the marking more reliably. The result is better maintenance of the retroreflection values.
- Visually uniform pattern:
More reliable repeatability of uniform marking patterns.
- Clean line starts and finishes:
No external division or portioning devices, therefore practically no spilling of marking material.
1.1) Multi-Dot-Line system A - thermoplastic material
- Size and distances of the material dots can be changed
- Height of the material dots up to 7 mm
- Speed up to approx. 3 km/h
- System supply via thermoplastic extruder

e.g.: line width: 15 cm, dot diameter: 27 mm, row distance: 37 mm, speed: 2,5 km/h
1.2) Multi-Dot-Line system A - 2-component cold plastic
- Size and distances of the material dots can be changed
- Height of the material dots up to 7 mm
- Speed up to approx. 6 km/h
- Mixing ratios of 1:1 to 1:3 and 2:98 are possible
- System supply via pressure vessel, pump or distance-dependent 2-components extruder

e.g.: cold plastic 1:1, line width: 15 cm, dot diameter: 15 mm, row distance: 25 mm,
speed: 2 km/h

e.g.: cold plastic 1:1, line width: 27 cm, dot diameter: 27 mm, row distance: 85 mm,
speed: 3,5 km/h
2) Multi-Dot-Line system B - thermoplastic material
- Size and distances of the material dots can be changed.
- Height of the material dots up to 7 mm
- Marking patterns variable
- Smooth finish possible without complex modification
- Speed up to approx. 10 km/h (= minimum traffic obstruction!)
- Clean line starts and finishes
- Within a certain speed range distance-dependent (required according to ZTVM 02)
- Maximum repeatability of the marking pattern
- System supply via thermoplastic extruder

e.g.: line width: 15 cm, dot diameter: 21 mm, dot length: 35 mm, row distance: 30 mm
